In the begining I really thought Safina would walk away with this Major but looking at her performance today Venus will take her out handily. (6-2 6-2)

agreed. Williams has been strong this year in Wimbledon, I can't see Safina creating much of a threat.

Wow, what a massacre! She destroyed the #1 player in the world 6-1, 6-0. I have never seen anything like that before against a #1 player.

i mean, its sensible to think that Williams would win.  I think it was really surprising that Williams didn't win.
