You like humour huh...now that is funny!! lol....So was your private email telling me to "Drop Dead" meant as a joke then I take it...real mature Don!! So who is personally attacking who again...I'm confused hmm

And your comment above is laughable once again lol ... if you don't care who wins what then why are you still making a big deal about "average" points being the ONLY points that matter in R2D2...Sigh....CrossCourt won the R2D2 Crown and nothing you can say or do is gonna change that mate!!

I use to respect you and your opinions!!

Congratulation CrossCourt on winning our first R2D2 Crown!

Thanks Dragan big_smile

(Sigh) Look, Don, I don't see how it's the fault of Tony, Dragan, Beebo and I that we managed to make the Shangahi deadline, if that's what all the fuss is about. It was a 24 hour deadline. I don't see how anyone could've missed it. In any case Tono and I have to make the same "ridiculous" deadlines when Wimby and the US come round.

To be honest, I don't mind if I come 1st or 2nd in the R2D2 this year. It was only a half-year. Take the title if you want.

I'll the win R2D2 next year, along with a Yoda and Vader win. big_smile

Re: THE R2D2 CROWN "2011"!!

CC, I didn't say or imply that it's anybody's "fault" that a few people made the Shanghai deadline.  To me, that doesn't even make sense.  You want know my opinion about those of you who did make the deadline?  Well done!

I think a Saturday night (in the USA, anyway) deadline without giving reasonable notice is ridiculous, and obviously no one among the Americans in this group had any notice.  As a result, none of the people from the US made the deadline.  That seems a significant fact to me.  In any event, now we know.  I'm sure we'll make Saturday deadlines in the future.

I want to make it completely clear that I don't care about the R2D2 title at all, CC.  I actually don't understand why Tony keeps claiming I do, or why you just did.  You're wrong to say that.  For starters, to me this year has always been about practice, getting used to the formats, and such.  But even in Yoda Cup, I try my best to win, but it certainly doesn't bother me if someone else wins.  Not in the slightest.  Congratulations to the winner, I say.

Actually, I post a lot of jokes.  Some people think they're pretty funny -- especially Arvis, I think.  Thanks for appreciating the humor, Arvis.  I no longer care, Mr. Watson, whether you like it or think it funny or not.

In response to Tony saying -- after I had posted my averages and top 3 scores post -- that what HE was posting was "the only R2D2 results that make any difference" -- and by way of expressing my complete disagreement with him about that -- I edited my averages and top 3 scores post to include the same language in it that he used.  I didn't like what Tony said one little bit, implying as it did that what I had posted amounted to nothing whatsoever, so I fired it right back at him.  I didn't take him saying that well at all, to be honest.  But it wasn't that big a deal until Tony decided to make it personal and start accusing me of being a bad loser and worse.  I'm not taking that from him or anybody else.

So, OK, Tony: I used to respect you and your opinions, too.  That's a thing of the past.  I don't back down when provoked, but I don't run my friends down out of nowhere either.  Now you have chosen to respond by adding that accusation to your list of nasty things you falsely accuse me of.  It's insupportable.  I really want nothing further to do with you.

CC, I fully expect you to do some winning next year.  Of course, you aren't going to win everything, you know.  I doubt very seriously that anyone will.  The group is far too competitive for that.  But you'll probably be in with a chance in all of them.  That's my guess, anyway.

And you will note that King Tony has decreed a winner, so no one dare disagree.  He actually doesn't get it that it's not his job to decree things.

Re: THE R2D2 CROWN "2011"!!

How about my own brand of wine, served out of a tennis ball canister?

I call it "Love: A Tennis Wine."  Compressed with finest Napa Valley air, this wine is hermetically sealed in a classy, vintage Dunlop tennis ball can for 4 years before being sold to the public.  The grapes are grown in clay imported from Roland Garros, pressed by one of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's shoes, filtered through a Wimbledon Centre Court net, and mixed by one of Roger Federer's many Slam-winning Wilson K-One's.

You know, this wine sounds disgusting...
