I've sent a message to Fantasy Tennis Tour. It goes like this:
Thank you for creating this site and spending your spare time updating everything. I am aware that this site is still in it's early days and I - along with some others members such as Tono and backhandpass - want to help you develop this site to become one of the best all-year fantasy tennis sites around - if not THE best.
Therefore Tono, backhandpass and I, possibly others as well, will be sending you regular messages on what needs to be fixed from a user's point of view.
The one thing that needs most working on in this site are the leagues. Apparently there is an option when you create the league where you can select it to become either private or public. This doesn't make sense because we are unable to view or join other leagues without being invited anyway. It would also be a nice addition to be able to invite people by the username rather than their email address (privacy issues).
There is another fantasy site called Grand Slam Fantasy Tennis (GSFT) which is, in my opinion, the most complete fantasy tennis game around. The only problem with it is that is only for Grand Slams. I've tried many all-year fantasy tennis games but one looked too much like a betting site, one was unaccessible and one wasn't enjoyable at all.
This one shows the most promise, and is different to the other sites with the limited picks and the prize money - a good thing. If you need a guide on how to set up the leagues, try looking at the GSFT setup.
Another good addition would be to split "My Leagues" into 2 different tabs:
- "My Picks" for the viewing/editing picks
- "My Leagues" for viewing/joining leagues.
We'd appreciate any changes you make.
Thank you,
CrossCourt
It probably wasn't a good idea to mention this site, but they really need to improve and this site would be the perfect role model. What do you think?
