Now why would I argue with you on that one CrossCourt huh? Australia has a great Davis Cup record, 2nd best only to the USA, a record to be very proud of indeed.
New Zealand were in the World Group 8 times and had mixed success, we did reach the semifinals of the Davis Cup once in 1982 (lost to France 3-2) but we haven't been back in the World Group since 1991, were you aware of that CC? So I guess you are right, not much of an amazing history really unless you go all the way back to 1910 when Anthony Wilding won Wimbledon 4 times in a row.....lol!
Chris Lewis made the final in 1983 too but ever since Brett Steven retired the tennis in NZ has never got back to it's previous level, sad really!
121 ties played, 8 years in the World Group, 62 years involved, first played in 1924 and prior to 1914 we joined our brothers across the tasman and played as Australasia
