If Serena wins the Aus. open, can she win the Grand Slam this year?

She has the skills and the drive, but there are so many strong female players now. It's not like back in the 90's when 5 or 6 women were great and the rest were terrible. Now there is real depth to the field and so many players who could have an amazing day and take her out.

I'm not sure. No-one saw Kim Clijsters coming and she took a Grand slam from under the top seeds feet. And then she had that big blow up. so maybe not....

The first two sets were very exciting, and then Serena destroyed Henin in the 3rd set. After Henin won the 2nd I thought she would win the match, but Serena stayed calm and played great tennis. Serena now has 12 slam wins, and if she continues to play this well she will easily win another 3 or 4 slams.

On another note, was it just me, or did Venus look jealous after Serena won?

Serena definitely earned this slam victory. She played very consistent tennis and played really well. The final was fun - so glad it was not a blow out.
