Yeah I remember seeing that guy run a few times - I was always amazed at his balance on those things. It looked like he was going to topple every time he hit the bend.

Re: Predictions (9 replies, posted in French Open)
Yep...I'm pretty much gone with mine as well.
I'm a massive Federer fan (who isn't), but I'm also hoping one of the other guys makes a good run at it. Maybe one of the French guys in the final against Federer so the crowd gets rowdy.
Tsonga vs Federer...now that'd be a great final, except they're due to meet in the semi's if they both make it that far.
Top half of the draw...just toss a dart and hope it sticks. Fernando Gonzalez, Andy Murray, Davydenko...or Soderling?
I'm going to say Gonzalez vs Federer in the final

Well he'll have plenty of time to rest that weary brain if it was...

You've got to think that all the other men are a little bit more excited now - guys like Del Potro, Tsonga, Monfils even Roddick. They'll all be thinking they're in with a shot now - going to be an exciting week

I had to throw this in here...
A Romanian player has decided to she needs to get a breast reduction to improve her court mobility.
So my (not very serious) question is -
Should she be allowed to do this or is it considered performance enhancing surgery, akin to something like blood or gene doping.
Read all her about her troubles here

She may find she loses a few fans anyway...

I think Safina, but I'm also kind of hoping someone like Wozniacki does well - would make a nice change from the Russians and the Tennis Republic of Williams.

Was kind of curious about which players people selected as their non seeded player to make it thru to the quarters
For the men I had Ernests Gulbis from that baltic tennis superpower, Latvia
For the women I had Daniela Hantuchova
Always thought Gulbis had potential but hasn't kicked on yet like some other players of the same age.

In all their wisdom Aussie free-to-air broadcasters have refused to show the French Open so it is my least favourite at the moment - not for the tennis, but for the fact that I have to go to way more effort just to see a match.

Ask Tennis Australia - apparently they've got a plan. Look out for the new crop to be coming thru...in about 2013.
