Great video Aiur, thanks. It seem that the main difference between those two women is the length of the sound. Larcher de Brito's sound lasts so long that she is still screaming when the opponent is trying to hit the ball back. This would be so distracting. That said, sharapova's is pretty bad as well.

As a fan watching the game it is annoying to hear those loud grunts. How is it that Steffi Graf can win 22 majors without grunting?

Here is an interesting post on the Wimbledon blog about it:

Martina Navratilova believes that it is cheating and has become unacceptable, and I totally agree with her.

If all goes as planned, Federer will meet Soderling in the 4th round. Soderling placed a great first round match and might pose a threat to Federer if he can get rid of his jitters and bring on the same level of play he had against Nadal at the French Open.

Wow, what a shock. James Blake lost his first round match today to Andreas Seppi from Italy in straight sets. I really thought that Blake would do much better than this. Hope he can come back and have a great US Open.

As you can tell from my photo, I think the answer is a big fat YES. At the French he showed the word that he still has the skills, and now he comes into Wimbledon with confidence - the only thing he was lacking the last year or so. He is in great shape and serving like the Fed of old. Can't wait to see him win #15.

Wow, Murray and Hewitt playing doubles. That's great stuff!

It looks like Murray is playing Ferrero in one semi, and Blake is playing Roddick in the other. So either way an American will be in the finals.

Even if Nadal plays Wimbledon his concern about his knee will hinder his play. As a result he has no chance to make it more than a few rounds, and he risks a more serious injury. But at least the grass is easier on his knee - the hard courts at the US Open will do some damage.

Ok, does anyone think that Soderling has a chance against Federer tomorrow? Yes, Soderling is playing great and he beat Nadal, but he must be tired from so much tennis and he will probably feel the weight of the world when he plays in his 1st grand slam final. I think he will get a set, but Federer will win and he will earn the title of the greatest tennis player in history.

I thought he had worked on his fitness and made some big improvements - could this have been mental fatigue?

I know that US Open tickets are going on sale soon. Any suggestions as to how I can get some good tickets? I used to get the day pass and just wander around, but it would be nice to get some sweet tickets close to the court in the main stadium.

She's going to get back into the top 20 very soon. These types of injuries take a bit to heal, and then she will come back fast!

Roger all the way!!! As I said - he won in Spain, on Nadal;s turf. Now he's going to finally beat him in Paris.

Hi Nole. Djokovic is an interesting guy because he seems to let his head get in the way at times. I think he'll rise and fall throughout his career as he gets more and less confident. I'd be surprised if he dropped out of the top 10 in the next few years, and less surprised if he get's to #1 at some point.

Today Federer beat Nadal in the clay final in Madrid. What an amazing upset! Although I have a feeling that this will fire up Nadal even more for the French. Federer might not become #1 again, but this win gives me hope that he can play at the top for a while longer and maybe even win another grand slam.
