I've got my fingers crossed for Djokovic!! Of course wink He has won it before, and he seems much happier than this time last year, so you never know.

She was definitely out of line. Doesnt matter whether it was the final point in the final, or the first point in the first round, rules are rules. Penalty points are there for a reason, and she had already been warned for throwing her racket. Match points arent exempt, surely? Cljisters did all the work up until then.

Imagine what would have happened if it had been a male player who had done that? god knows what could have followed.

Whoa, that's scary. I cant believe someone got so close to Rafa they could kiss him! poor guy, that must be a shock!!
I hope they do something about security because the last thing anyone wants is for a player to get hurt. fingers crossed nothing happens

Woop! Was very glad to see that he got past Verdasco, it was a stern test but he managed it. Not sure how he will fair against Federer though. However, maybe being the underdog will help?

I think so! Of course I would, but I think his chances are particularly good this time. Especially now that Murray is out. He seems a lot happier in the US than he did last year, what with another spate of impersonations having been done.

Oh yeah Venus all the way. 6-2 6-3?

Wish Dementiva had got through though.

I know the match is already underway but what are people thinking? Is Murray putting up a good enough performance?
Or does Roddick just want this too badly?

However it goes, it didnt take much from Federer to get through! Poor Haas. Not a walk over, but there wasnt much resistance really was there?

It definitely is more exciting. Things are just faster and there is a wider range of player's techniques. Except the women's. It soiunds terrible to say it but it is so boring.

Murray will probably do really well but I doubt he will win. I'm hoping Djokovic does well, naturally! But I think federer will actually be able to achieve this; of all the people in the world eh can take this Grand Slam.

I'm hoping the guys who did well at the French Open do well, like del Potro etc, I really liked them!

very happy for Federer! So glad he finally got the french open, he just looked so happy in his speech. He played some great tennis for it too. Soderling just sounded happy to be in the final, it was great to see the two of them just enjoy being there so much

Very disappointed sad I was so looking forward to watching Djokovic play again. Oh well, will have to wait a little while!

You're right, he does have his peaks and troughs, particularly with this health. He retired for illness during the Australian Open didn't he? He just never seems to settle for very long.

Yeah I doubt he will leave the top ten but I would be surprised if he reached No. 1, not that I'm not hoping for it!

p.s. this sounds a bit weird, but has anyone seen Djokovic's impressions? A friend sent me a video of his best impressions and he was actually very good! Particularly of Sharapova, weirdly enough

Hi, my name on here is Nole - not in real life obviously, I'm just a Djokovic fan big_smile

So dont be surprised if you see me defending him around these parts. But anyway, can't; wait for French Open and looking forward to talking all bout it on the forum.

See you around hopefully!

It would be nice to have someone else get the title, but is it really possible?
Roger Federer is in with a shot, but beating Nadal in the Madrid masters final is not the same as in the final of the French Open.

Djokovic has been sort of up and down as of late, I'm not quite sure what hes going to like!

And Anyd murray isn't really much of a threat on clay, is he? He has been getting better I suppose.

And bobstheman I agree with you, it does give some validation to my hope Federer continues doing well at the top! Although maybe now he's got a kid on the way......

I'm a big Novak Djokovic fan but was just wondering what people thought about him? He's gone out quite early in recent tournaments - losing games and retiring from injury - and he lost his No. 3 spot to Andy Murray.

Do people think he might just continue to slip down the rankings or is there still life left in him?

p.s. I'm new on here guys, hey *wave*
