Topic: By George he won it

Expect my blog on the men's finals to be up in the next hour, but I just couldn't wait to start talking about Roger Federer's win today.

What a win. He truly is a champion.

Re: By George he won it

Speaking on winners. i won the mens fantasy tennis! 1/347.

Not bad for a tennis noob tongue

When is the prize giving ceremony?

Re: By George he won it

Congrats smile

Er well first we have to a few dozen speeches from sponsors, then the runner up needs to get the big silver plate, start to cry, and then you can come out and make your speech, then you and the runner up need to stand in front of a bank of photographers and smile for the cameras.

I'm kidding, I have no idea when the prizes are given out, but well done anyway!

Re: By George he won it

What an amazing victory for Federer! He looked great today and made it look almost easy. The final was fun to watch, and I am glad that Fed won number 16!

And congrats scales23 on your win - well done!

Re: By George he won it

It was so fun to watch Fed win #16. His skill continues to amaze me over and over again. He deserved this win today, and I think he will get at least one more slam victory this year. I don't think he will win the French, but another Wimbledon win seems likely.

Re: By George he won it

Yes, Fed is the man. And the tiebreak was excellent - i kept thinking that Murray would win the set and perhaps have a comeback, but Fed held him off and deserved this historic win.

Re: By George he won it

Yes Roger is the supreme sportsperson on the planet at the moment, amazing mental toughness once again, even more relaxed now he is a father too.
Be great to see him win the French again and start thinking about a calendar Grand Slam but i have a sneaking suspicion that Del Potro might be tough to beat in Paris, looking forward to the next GS in May at Roland Garros!
Congrats to scales23, well done smile

Re: By George he won it

It's the effortlessness with which he does everything that amazes me. It's been there throughout all of his career but it has been pretty spectacular as of late; how many athletes could have twin girls who travel with him everywhere and yet continue at his former breath-taking level?

Did anyone see his press conferences? He just seems so relaxed and chilled with life at the moment, I am faintly jealous!
