Re: austalian open 2010

I hadn't heard anything about him being injured, but I know the end of last year was a bit of a headache for him injury-wise.

I think if he eeps his mind on things, he is a strong contender. Hey, what do I know, I am terrible at predicting! But I am behind him all the way, I hope he does well.

EDIT: oh no wait I had heard he was injured haha.It just shows how saturated with tennis my brain is, things are starting to slip away from me! I still think he could shake off that particular demon, it never kept him out of anything big although I gues it did mess with his warm up. Oh well, we shall see.

Re: austalian open 2010

I've got my fingers crossed for Djokovic!! Of course wink He has won it before, and he seems much happier than this time last year, so you never know.

Re: austalian open 2010

djokovic is a main contender in this tournament, so he does know this surface and atmosphere a lot better then most, so that does give him a big advantage.

Re: austalian open 2010

HENIN FOR WOMEN!!! :]... nadal, djokovic , federer, tsonga and much more..soo many guys worthy of going to the finals  but immma stick with my #1 ANDY RODDICK!!!...

Re: austalian open 2010

Hello everybody. I noticed many of you were expecting great things from Soderling like me in this Australian Open (I picked him on my team). I was very impressed with his play last year. What do you all make of his first round, five-set loss to M. Grannolers?!

Re: austalian open 2010

it looked like he was getting mad at himself, so thought probably led to his ultimate defeat. he's been playing well, he just can't control himself

Re: austalian open 2010

I can't believe Soderling lost in the 1st round, that is crazy. I actually had him on my team, and I had him getting to the finals against del Potro sad

Re: austalian open 2010

that is very disappointing, but this proves that this aussie open will be spectacular!!!!

Re: austalian open 2010

Oh delpo, delpo, delpo. Why?!

Oh well. I've got my fingers crossed forNadal in the quarters. I'm sure no-one is surprised by that.

What do others think?

Re: austalian open 2010

wow. beating del potro was probably the biggest win of marin's career. i still want roddick to beat him in the quarters. ii don't think cilic is ready for roddick's type of play yet, but we'll have to see...

Re: austalian open 2010

What happened??? I had del Potro winning the whole tournament, and he didn't even get to the QFs. I did not get to see the match, but I see it was a 5 setter. Anyone have more details on the match? Was del Potro playing well or did he let down?

Re: austalian open 2010

It was a wrist injury, I think. Got into his head. Sorry I cant be much help, but I only really saw the post-match interview and he said he is off to the doctors to get it checked out again, then he's going to take a bit of a rest.

I thought Delpo would go far too, but I think it is just one of those things. Fingers crossed that the injury is resolved, I love watching him play.

Re: austalian open 2010

This is what makes Federer the greatest of all time. He is soooooooo consistent and he never gets injured. So many players have one or two great slams, but then go away. I wonder if del Potro will be one of them.

Re: austalian open 2010

del potro i have a feeling will not be like that, but i was right about one thing. THIS AUTRALIAN OPEN WAS VERY SHOCKING!!!
