Topic: Does Nadal have a chance this year?

Does anyone think that Nadal has a chance to get to the finals of the Australian Open this year? he played so badly at the ATP year end event, and it seems like he has lost some of his passion on the court. Can he get it back and become the "old" Nadal again?

he's been in kind of a slump since the horrifying lost at the french open. i hope he does go back to his old ways like like in 2008. he needs to find the rythym he used to have if he wants to recreate the magic he brought to the court.

I hate to say it, but no chance for Nadal. He is so far off his game this year, and I can't imagine that he will win any slams in 2010.

well it seems to be that his injuries are geting better so i wouldn't count him out just yet.

No chance, sorry Nadal. But I wish him all the best. He has heart and seems like a very nice guy.

well this seems like federer's issue last year. everybody thought 'he's washed up' and 'he's done' but look at him now, on top of his game. maybe that'll be the same with nadal as well.

I really hope so. As you can tell from my photo I'm a Fed fan, but I have so much respect for Nadal and their rivalry has added so much to the game. It would be great for them to meet in at least one more slam final. Wonder if that will ever happen again?

that could happen at this australian open. this open has had a lot of surprises in the past so history might repeat itself

A Nadal vs Fed final seems so 2008 to me. I just cant imagine that happening this year because both players are getting less consistent. Fed had a MUCH better 2009 than Nadal, but I don't think he can get to more than 2 slam finals this year, and Nadal will probably struggle to get to the French final.

i think your right sadly about the nadal part. he hasn't been playing good tennis at all. he lost to davydenko in doha, so whats next for nadal?
