Very happy about Nadal winning! It really could have gone either way though, Federer certainly did not relinquish the game easily. They are two such amazingly talented players, its such a joy to watch them play.
What does everybody else think of the final?
Exactly what I expected: a great match, and a long match. Disappointed Federer couldn't pull it off, but how could one be too disappointed with such great tennis.
It was a good match, but Federer's serve really let him down today. His first serve percentage was pretty bad, and this gave Nadal too many opportunities. It also seemed like Fed had mentally given up in the last set - I was always waiting for him to do a Connors fist pump and scream and get excited and give some emotion, but it never happened. But Nadal certainly earned this title - congrats to him.
yeah i agree with you and i think federer is on his way out in tennis. he's made his legacy so it should be done with already.
