Topic: Rafa goes down!!!!!!!!!

In the biggest upset that I have ever witnessed, Robin Soderling beat Rafa Nadal 6-2, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6. I am at a loss for words, as I thought Rafa's draw was an easy road to the finals. The following is a message for Roger Federer: IF YOU DO NOT WIN THIS EVENT, YOUR CAREER IS OVER.

Re: Rafa goes down!!!!!!!!!

I think hes thinking pretty much the same thing.

Im in shock. Very disappointed for Rafa but incredibly impressed and awed by Soderling.

I only hope Rafa's bounce from this will be as immense as his losing the Wimbledon 2007 final, because he sure did that one in style.....

Re: Rafa goes down!!!!!!!!!

Im supposed to be revising for exams, but how am I supposed to now?!

Well done Soderling but poor Rafa. I hope Federer goes on to win now, but still sad

Massively disappointed

Re: Rafa goes down!!!!!!!!!

What a story it would be if Roger could tie Pete's record with a win at the Slam that has eluded him in his magical career. As a huge Roger fan since he beat Sampras in the '01 Wimbledon, I am really pulling for him. It would definitely put the doubters to rest and he would be crowned the greatest to ever play the game. As for Rafa, this loss really hurts, but I don't think it will effect him that much. He is such a competitor and loves the game so much that I bet he will hit the practice courts tomorrow, and he will come to London with a vengeance.

I think every tennis fan is in shock right now - it seems impossible that the #23 seed could even get a set against Nadal on clay. Federer is the undisputed 2nd best clay player in the world. if he can stay focused and keep his errors down he will have an exciting win here.

Re: Rafa goes down!!!!!!!!!

You've got to think that all the other men are a little bit more excited now - guys like Del Potro, Tsonga, Monfils even Roddick. They'll all be thinking they're in with a shot now - going to be an exciting week

Re: Rafa goes down!!!!!!!!!

Soderling played some amazing tennis yesterday. Rafa was not playing 100%, but he was not playing bad tennis either. I was shocked at how many risky, hard shots Soderling hit. I'm not sure of the game stats, but he must have hit a lot more winners than Rafa.
