Whoa, go Melanie! :) It just proves that we need the younger girls around like Oudin to keep things lively, because the guys at the top right now just can't keep things consistent. I cant believe how many are out. You cant even call them shock exits; you can see them coming now!

Kim 1: Oudin sure looks for real, we will find out if she plays Serena and does well. I believe the hard surface has a lot to do with Oudin playing well, after all it is our (USA) natural surface. But what I like best is her grit and willingness to win. Saying that I need to agree with Aiur's take on mindset with the top seeds. Some of these people need to see a shrink.

I think why you see so many top women getting upset as opposed to the men is just the mindset brought into the match. With the men you have the mindset that anybody can beat anybody, so even the top players walk onto the court ready to give 100%. In the women's matches I have seen the top players seem to be walking onto court with a cruise control setting as opposed to giving it 100% as soon as the match begins. There are some exceptions of course. The Williams sisters always give 100%, as does Sharapova. Safina gives 100% every time she goes out there, and I truly believe that she is just having troubles finding her game right now. I hope this event serves as a big wake up call to the top 10 women players.

I had those two women on my team as well - they were both expected to do very well this year. I'm shocked that they are both out so early. But on the bright side I have Kim Clijsters on my team and she is doing great! When did she decide to get back into the mix?

My team just got decimated by some pretty bad losses. The 17 year old Oudin took out #4 seed Dementieva yesterday, and the #5 seed Jankovic lost as well. On the one hand I'm not happy because they are on my team, but on the other hand it's nice to see some upsets in the women's draw for a change. What do other people think about this? Is Oudin for real, or was this just a fluke?
